Paul Seylar


Paul was Creative Director at Scripps Networks Interactive for 21 years, responsible for the brand identity of all things SNI, and managing both internal and external resources in the creation of SNI related materials. The in-house design team he managed worked closely with all of the Scripps Network Interactive brands including HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, DIY Network, Cooking Channel and Great American Country. 

Before joining Scripps Networks in March 1997, Paul worked for numerous small ad agencies.

David has nearly 20 years of experience in brand management and art direction in the design and business world. Before founding The Thought Bureau he was Art Director for Corporate Communications at Scripps Networks Interactive, the parent company of HGTV and Food Network. While there he worked with clients to develop internal and external corporate materials across broad categories including employee communications, corporate social responsibility, and content distribution. Custom campaigns ranged from Human Resource initiatives to Content Distribution renewals to the annual campaign to raise money for United Way. Prior to Scripps, David owned and ran his own design company, Where Design. Specializing in answering the demand for on-call talent, the company placed design and art direction service when and where companies needed it. Before that, he worked at several communication and design firms.

Judith brings more than 20 years of marketing experience and depth to the Thought Bureau – in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, and in both agency and client-side roles. She’s played on teams to rebrand national non-profits and also worked with Fortune 50 companies on global strategic initiatives and campaign implementation. Her core skill set includes strategic planning, marketing campaign creation and implementation, fundraising and resource development, community relationship building, research analysis, client and account management, public relations, copy editing and event planning.
